I've been at the coal face of the government’s response to COVID-19 and delved into the world of legislation development and implementation. My experience across different sectors in government and out of government means I understand both the ivory tower and the frontline.
I am part of a close-knit community of privacy professionals, who encourage the sharing and development of best practice for how privacy can enable your organisation. I strongly believe privacy should never be a blocker and I want to help you realise the value of the information you’ve collected, while keeping your organisation safe.

Hi, I’m Caitlin! I’m a certified privacy nerd and love figuring out difficult privacy problems!
I’ve been working in government agencies for just over a decade; dabbling in strategic policy before finding my true love of privacy, which ironically started in the New Zealand intelligence community.
I also led the privacy function at the Ministry of Health during the COVID-19 response, so you know I’m good at working under pressure!
In my spare time I contribute to the Surveillance Working Group for the Privacy Foundation, take our Paw-rivacy Consultant on adventures and play video games.
